In this work I used a pinhole camera as a low-tech device for employing a relatively blind way of image-making. In which, the lack of viewfinder imposes a lack of control; as there is no possibility of adjusting composition and previewing the subject in front of the camera.
The Surface In Which I Reside Between Inside Out is a crossover from photography to experimental filmmaking, questioning the correlation between photographic image, representation, and movement. In this work, the subject of photography functions as a projection surface, creating a self-reflectivity.

Anslagstavlan, the Bulletin board, is a short program on Swedish public television, SVT, which has been broadcasted since 1969. It consists of short films with information for the public, and is a part of SVT:s informatory mission. In the vignette to Anslagstavlan a cartoon figure approaches a full bulletin board. When it reaches it, the figure considers the overcrowded surface for a second, then frantically empties it before reaching into its own pocket, pulling out a note and placing it on the now empty surface.
The clip is an ambiguous mix of recognition humor and an analogy to the television monopoly that was SVT:s from 1956 until the mid 80’s. It signals truth and good intentions in dissonance with the current media climate, it’s pre post-truth. The figure in the vignette is white and reads as male. He is the neutral citizen, an everyday Joe, and is assumed to represent the majority.
In this remake of Anslagstavlan the narrative is slightly broken up, the information enters and exits the bulletin board but the figure never contributes to the mix.

SOON THAT TIME is a collage of words, initials, dates and sentences collected from carvings made by women tending cattle in Dalarna in the late 1700th century to early 2000th century.

Tiden som en linje med en början och ett slut är en relativt kristen idé. I början begynnelsen fram till domedagen och däremellan människan. Jämför detta med Kronos som äter sina barn, eller med tövattnet som rinner längs med trottoaren. Flugan som lägger ägg i kadavret, imperiets uppgång och fall. etc. Om gud avskaffades på grund av upplysningen eller modernismen avskaffades även slutet med honom. Framtiden är oändlig och den går spikrakt framåt.
Jag hade aldrig någon fallenhet för de naturvetenskapliga ämnena i skolan och är därför osäker på om tiden existerar överhuvudtaget.
Mina hemtrakter brann för 150 år sedan. Vid samma tidpunkt rullade maskinernas kugghjul allt snabbare och de verkar inte ha slutat än.
Ett antal år tidigare krälade den första fisken upp på land. Många torn har hunnit byggas och raseras sen dess. Jag återvänder till den steniga småländska jorden, fabriksgolvet, flodmynningen.
En dag krälar den sista fisken tillbaka ned i havet, och jag med den.
